James Allen Ill was born and raised in the rough streets of Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2010 because he needed a change. While James Allen Ill didn't have knowledge of real estate investments, he was raised with a strong business foundation and learned a lot from his father, James Allen Jr., the owner of several clothing stores, game rooms, and a mobile ice cream stand, to name a few. James seized the opportunity and took advantage of a real estate market crash at that time. He bought his first property in Georgia and started building his real estate portfolio from there. At first, James was only interested in long-term rental units, but his sister and mentor, April Grantham, talked to him and told him it would be a good and very profitable idea to branch off into short-term rentals as well.
